Further information to consider on Emeralds 

Emeralds, classified as Type III gemstones, typically display eye visible inclusions, and are very rarely “eye clean”. However, the exceedingly rare specimens without any inclusions command a premium price, often tripling or more the value of their included counterparts of similar colour and weight.

These inclusions, ranging from crystals to three-phase inclusions and needles, contribute to the unique appearance of Emeralds. Known as "Jardin" (French for Garden), these features, along with colour zoning and fingerprint-like patterns, add beautiful character and depth to an Emerald's appearance.

Please note that our Emeralds must be seen in person to be fully appreciated. Our 3-5x zoomed pictures and videos, along with side/backlit videos from our Lightbox, make any inclusions within the stone significantly more visible than they are to the naked eye.  Look for our pictures taken in natural light for a better representation of how the emerald will appear in person, or feel free to email us for additional pictures/videos if desired.

Clarity & Cut

Inclusions in natural coloured gem stones are a positive sign to differentiate them from man-made materials. Clarity of a gemstone is one of the price determining factors, alongside with colour, cut, and carat weight.  Normally in a fine gem inclusions are not visible to the naked eye. In cheaper stone inclusions can be obvious from a certain angle.  We photograph all stones from different angles with no editing to show the maximum interior. However, you may reveal more internal features when you study the stone thoroughly. Having said that, the closest to seeing the real gem would be a video, so you can always request us to offer a short clip under natural light to help you decide better. 

Shipping and Delivery

Shipping within the United Kingdom is done via Royal Mail Special delivery, and via Fedex for higher value items.

International shipping is an option of Fedex or EMS, depending on value of parcel, and speed required by the the customer.
