Handsome silver anodized frame with black sideplates and classic S-style handle. Serial number 781 which is etched into the foot. The crankside plate and spool are ventilated. "Saracione" and "Mark V, 4 1/4", G&P, Made in the USA" etched into the faceplate. The drag is adjusted with small knob with 13-stop calibration. The drag itself is made out of oversized gear pawls and heavy springs with impressive stopping power for a G&P style drag design with a satisfyingly loud click as well. Designed to balance rods in the 13 1/2' to 15' range that case 8, 9, or 10 lines, and hold 225 yards of backing. It would be hard to ask for more out of a salmon or steelhead reel than what Joe has designed here, including the world class craftsmanship and precision that his reels are justifiably known for.
