This pattern set by Tutu Couture and Stagewear contains our Basic Leotard & Contemporary Platter Tutu Plate patterns.

Our Contemporary Platter Tutu Plate Pattern comes with two plate width options for you to choose from. (this pattern can also be used with a single layer of lycra or stretch mesh, to make a circle ballet skirt)

The Basic Leotard pattern is a very simple two piece leotard which is great for the more novice leotard maker OR is a perfect pattern for those who want to try slicing the pattern to create extra panel lines for colour blocking.

The instructions are written for those who are using a domestic sewing machine with straight and zig zag stitching capabilities. Of course, an overlocker and coverstitch machine can be used instead if you have them.      

You will need:
child sizes: approx. 130cm lycra, 2.6m x 6mm elastic, 2m strong tutu hooping
adult sizes: approx. 145cm lycra, 2.95m x 6mm elastic, 2.25m strong tutu hooping
