Court-Certified Documents for Apostille & International Use
Court-issued and notarized documents that will be used outside the United States are often part of a broader international legalization process. Depending on the destination country and document type, these records may require processing through Apostille & Authentication services or, for federally issued or federally required matters, Federal Apostille & Authentication before they are accepted abroad.
In many cases, court-issued and notarized documents must first be certified by the appropriate New York County Clerk before they are eligible for Apostille or Authentication. This county-level certification is frequently required by the New York Secretary of State as part of the legalization process.
We assist with preparing and coordinating court records so they meet the requirements of the County Clerk, the New York Secretary of State, federal agencies, and foreign authorities — ensuring the correct sequence is followed from the start.
- County Clerk certification of court records and notarized documents
- Coordination with state and federal Apostille & Authentication services
- Support for both Hague and Non-Hague destination countries
All international requests are reviewed individually to confirm eligibility, required certifications, and the correct processing path before submission, helping prevent delays or rejections.
Documents for Use in Puerto Rico
We assist with court-certified and notarized documents intended for use in Puerto Rico, including documents that require court-level certification prior to submission. Requirements for Puerto Rico differ from standard domestic use and are confirmed during the document review process.
Important Notes & Requirements
- All court record requests begin with document review
- Certification requirements vary by court and document type
- Turnaround times are confirmed after review
- Do not mail documents unless specifically instructed
Because court procedures and certification rules may change, we confirm all requirements at the time of request to avoid delays.
