Does NY Notary Public Services offer traveling mobile notary services?
We offer convenient Mobile Notary services across the Five Boroughs of New York City and Long Island. We come to the privacy of your home, office, business, hospital, nursing home, or school. Our Mobile Notary Service operates Monday through Friday, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. While many notarizations can be completed online, certain documents, such as wills and powers of attorney (POAs), still require traditional wet signatures. We provide in-person notarizations at your location to ensure all legal requirements are met. How does the Electronic Remote Online Notarization process work in New York?
IMPORTANT UPDATE: Effective 2/1/2023, electronic remote notarization is now active in New York State. Electronic notarial acts are notarial acts performed using software that produces an electronically recorded output. An electronic notarial act is performed remotely, with the notary and petitioner separated physically, but capable of communicating at the same time through audio-visual technologies and other security protocols. Under the new law, remotely notarized documents will be accepted for record by the New York county clerk and other government offices. Visit our Remote Online Notarization page for more information. Do you provide witnesses?
Yes. We can provide witnesses for in-person and remote online notary services.
Do I need to be present to have something notarized?
Yes. In order for us to notarize a document, New York State law says the person whose signature is being notarized must sign the document in the notary’s presence. The person can’t sign the document ahead of time and then bring it to the notary. If you cannot be physically present for an in-person appointment, please visit our Remote Online Notarization page. Remote Online Notary is a way to legalize documents without leaving your home or office.
What is an acceptable ID to show when having something Notarized?
Acceptable ID for a notary must be issued by a government agency and include the bearer’s recent photograph, signature and physical description. e.g state driver's license, US Passport, International Passport, Federal ID card.
What Payment Methods do you accept?
We accept Cash, Credit Card, Venmo, and Zelle.
Do you offer Apostille services?
Yes. NY Notary Public Services specializes in Apostille Certification (Authentication of documents for international use) and Document Legalization to individuals and corporations in New York City and throughout the United States.
What is the turnaround time for an Apostille in New York?
As of July 22, 2024, the New York Department of State is averaging 7 business days to process an apostille.
Do you offer translation services?
Yes. NY Notary Public Services offers certified translation services for all Legal, Government & Academic Issued documents. We offer certified and notarized translations for all USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immigration Services) Petitions.
