FBI Identity History Summary Checks (commonly referred to as FBI background checks) are federal documents and must be processed through the U.S. Department of State in Washington, DC before they can be used abroad.

We assist individuals, attorneys, corporations, and international clients with the full federal Apostille or Authentication process — including in-person submission and retrieval in Washington, DC to significantly reduce turnaround times.


What We Can Accept

  • Electronic PDF issued directly by the FBI: If you received your FBI background check electronically from the FBI, you may email the PDF to us for review.
  • Physical hard copy issued by the FBI: If you received a paper FBI background check, you may scan it to us for review; however, the original physical document must ultimately be provided for federal processing.

Hague vs. Non-Hague Destinations

Hague Convention Countries: FBI background checks used in Hague Convention countries require a federal Apostille.

Non-Hague Countries: FBI background checks used in non-Hague countries require Authentication and may require embassy or consulate legalization.
